Rex

Rex has become a good friend over our recording sessions. Here is an excerpt from his myspace page:

Rex started in music when with good freind Neil Dwerryhouse, he formed "Divine Right "around 1983. The band wrote and performed loads of stuff over the next three years or so and recorded quite a lot too. Eventually being offered a distribution deal with Red Rhino.This came too late and the band finally folded around 1986.

Lots of bands followed until "Strawberry Story" were formed in 1987. As a three piece (with brother Paul and singer Matt) "All for you" was released in 1988. In 1989 Matt was replaced by Hayley and James was brought in on guitar and as another songwriter. The band had huge success with singles, flexis and live performances and in 1991 signed to vinyl japan.

The greatest achievements being single of the week in the NME, a John Peel favourite and touring Japan. In 2007 they reformed and released a new single "sci fi guy".

Why do the solo stuff? "My 4 yr old daughter has a brain tumour, after a year of fighting it we were told it is now terminal. Both Joanne and i have given up work to care for her it is a very difficult time ,but the songwriting has just gone mad. Im playing all the time and cant stop writing.

The songs ive been doing i dont feel are suitable for s.story so ive had a go on my own,(with help from Rob Dart at Mostly Toast . bass, guitars and programming).My wife Joanne has also helped out( with vocals and guitar.)
